Hon. MP assured the employees that she would convey their demands to the Government of India. The delegation, comprising Thakur Chunnu Singh, Om Kesari, Shashikant Jha, Niranjan Kumar Pandey, Ram Kumar Rai, and others, submitted the memorandum and discussed the long-pending issues concerning BSNL employees.

The representatives highlighted that the prolonged delay in wage revision has adversely affected the financial well-being of BSNL employees. They also urged the Hon'ble MP to extend her support for the early implementation of the Third Pay/Wage Revision by relaxing the affordability clause.

SAD NEWS: SNEA mourns the untimely demise of Shri Shabir Shafkat Rather, CWCM J&K Circle: With profound grief and a heavy heart, SNEA mourns the untimely demise of our beloved leader, Shri Shabir Shafkat Rather, CWC Member, SNEA J&K Circle and Senior SDE, BSNL Kashmir BA, who passed away after being hospitalized for the past few days. He was just 47 years old and is survived by his wife and two school-going children.

Shri Shabir Shafkat Rather was a dedicated and committed member and a strong leader of SNEA. He had been associated with the Association since joining BSNL in 2003. Throughout his association with SNEA, he remained steadfast in his commitment to the welfare of the cadre and the ideals and objectives of the Association. His valuable contributions, active involvement and sincere dedication to the activities of SNEA will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.

His untimely demise is an irreparable loss to his bereaved family, colleagues, SNEA and the entire BSNL fraternity. His unwavering commitment, warm camaraderie and dedicated involvement in the organizational activities of SNEA will remain etched in our memories.

SNEA conveys its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and stands in firm solidarity with them in this hour of immense grief. We pray to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give his family the strength, courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
